We have two fantastic sets bursting with hit songs from the 1960’s to present day chart hits. There’s something for everyone in our sets and we work really hard to keep them up to date, fresh and lively! We have a confident and enthusiastic front man so you can be assured that your guests will be involved from the moment we start to play and a sassy female vocalist that can belt out any tune! Our brass section is made up from some of the best players in the Bristol/South West area so we can choose those big, brassy, full-on numbers that other smaller bands, or those playing along to backing tracks, can’t do so well. Our musicians are also wire free so they can certainly bust a few moves on stage!
We’ve played for charity fundraisers where you need the crowd to really get into the evening and have a great night. We’ve played for military events all over the UK – these events normally continue until the early hours of the next morning and Doctor Chocolate can certainly keep up and have stayed up until 4/5am and joined in with the bacon butties before driving home! We’ve kept the dance-floor jammed packed!

Romance is in the Air
Heard of Jennifer Lawrence? Star of the Hunger Games, American Hustle and X-Men? Rumours are swirling that Jennifer Lawrence is now engaged to Nicholas Hoult who she met whilst filming X-Men!
Having teenage children, and having several members of the band go and watch American Hustle (note that not one single bra is worn in the whole of the film!), then we are all very aware of this young and rather beautiful Hollywood actress.
Christmas, New Year and Valentines Day are all close together and are considered to be the times of year when most marriage proposals are made!
Doctor Chocolate are currently receiving a high volume of enquiries from couples who have recently got engaged and are looking to book a fantastic, experienced and lively 9-piece wedding band.

This was a woodland wedding followed by a party on a hill. A marquee was the site for the evening’s shenanigans and the village hall was used to prepare/serve food for the wedding reception as well as keep one of the bridesmaids under control and inside the room so she didn’t wander off! Don’t be alarmed though – the extra bridesmaid on this occasion was the family dog who was determined to be involved in absolutely everything!

The picture is of a wedding “dance-off” between the ladies and the gentlemen! One of the guests thought Sarah’s hair could do with a bit of restyling – we think she looks like one of those dish-washing utensils! Needless to say the girls won the dance-off!
One Direction Shred
Doctor Chocolate are a fully live 9-piece wedding, party and function band based in the South West.
We always perform fully live – there are no backing tracks involved – what you see is what you get. We have 25 videos on our website that were recorded at a live charity event – this shows the band as we would perform for any event that we are booked for! Have a look at them here
However, we have recently been sent this link to see a “shred” of the very famous One Direction performing. This shred is so funny! This is actually not One Direction performing – it is the work of a very funny individual who has over-dubbed the lads in the band and this was the result.
