Doctor Chocolate are often asked what songs we include in our sets. Well we have an extensive list of songs that we play and it’s hard to choose what we can cram into two hours so we only choose the best songs from the 1960’s through to current chart hits. Not all the songs we choose to play at weddings, charity events and corporate events have brass in the original recordings – but as we have an awesome brass section it would be criminal not to use them – so we adapt and change the songs to give them a big, round and full sound. You can be sure that we carefully pick our sets of floor filers and there is something for every generation in our sets. We always have a packed dance-floor – no matter what the occasion!
We are currently working on some new numbers for the sets to keep them fresh and funky and have a few rehearsals scheduled in for the month of February.

We have two fantastic sets bursting with hit songs from the 1960’s to present day chart hits. There’s something for everyone in our sets and we work really hard to keep them up to date, fresh and lively! Doctor Chocolate are the ultimate wedding, party and function band and the majority of our work comes through recommendation from people who have seen/heard us before.

We have a confident and enthusiastic front man so you can be assured that your guests will be involved from the moment we start to play and a sassy female vocalist that can belt out any tune! Our brass section is made up from some of the best players in the Bristol/South West area so we can choose those big, brassy, full-on numbers that other smaller bands, or those playing along to backing tracks, can’t do so well. Our musicians are also wire free so they can certainly bust a few moves on stage!
We’ve played for charity fundraisers where you need the crowd to really get into the evening and have a great night. We’ve played for military events all over the UK – these events normally continue until the early hours of the next morning and Doctor Chocolate can certainly keep up and have stayed up until 4/5am and joined in with the bacon butties before driving home! We’ve kept the dance-floor jammed packed!

Weddings are the best! Weddings are also one of Doctor Chocolate’s specialities! We are always asked to perform at weddings and we love them! Based in and around the South West, members of the band will travel all over the UK and arrive in good time to set up and sound check prior to any wedding.
From the moment you contact us we will be with you every step of the way. Doctor Chocolate can help you with your timings for the day so that we can fit in with your evening but also advise you on the length of time that we perform and the best times for the sets! Doctor Chocolate play for two x one hour sets and can work alongside any other entertainment that you have arranged.
We have our own stage and dance floor lighting and have the BEST sound equipment so that we always sound amazing! With our own sound engineer on hand we can also work within the constraints of the size of the venue too.

Having teenage children, and having several members of the band go and watch American Hustle (note that not one single bra is worn in the whole of the film!), then we are all very aware of this young and rather beautiful Hollywood actress.
Christmas, New Year and Valentines Day are all close together and are considered to be the times of year when most marriage proposals are made!
